What is wireless electricity?
In its basic form, wireless electricity uses the concept of electricity transmission from one place to another without the use of wires. Traditionally, all power must be transferred from a source to a device that uses electricity by means of a transmission line. However, wireless power uses different forms of transmission that do not require this line. The benefits of wireless electricity come in the form of continuous energy transfer and lack of wire need, which can become unpleasant or even dangerous. The transmission of wireless electricity has been used since the end of the 18th century, but due to commercial restrictions, the technological expansion of its use has been limited.
The most common form of wireless power transmission is known as almost a field transfer. This uses concepts of magnetic induction to transmit energy over short distances from one place to another. Magnetic induction is common in modern electronics, especially in the transformer. Two circuits connected physically but use their close proximity to create ELECtromagnetic field that transmits power from source to device. The primary example is a modern electric brush that fits into a small charging device, which in turn provides power supply with metal plates on each part of the device located in close proximity to each other.
Another form of wireless electricity can transmit power over long distances. This is known as a remote field method and can be used to transmit energy through radio waves, microwaves or lasers. The advantage of this system is its obvious advantage of distance over magnetic induction. However, one of the challenges of the remote field method is that the force must be sent in a way identical to the shape of the receiver. For example, the antenna receiving force via radio waves must be adapted to the correct frequency of the source.
after the invention of a way to transfer very high -frequency and ultra -high -frequency radio waves HEinrich Hertz in 1888, inventor Nikola Tesla began to develop a way to transmit wireless electricity. 1891 was able to patent the method for lighting lighting. This was the most remarkable in his demonstrations at the World Colombian exhibition in Chicago. While he continued the process, it was not until the mid -20th century and for the fact that the technique of magnetic induction and wireless energy was used commercially. One main challenge consisted in the way of charging people for power consumption when it was basically sent to the masses.
