What is materialism?

Marketing and sales campaigns often attract materialism by many consumers by promoting goods and services as highly desirable and providing a certain amount of condition to anyone who acquires products.

As part of the consumption process, materialism is often based on the task of providing continuous satisfaction. In some cases, materialists acquire this satisfaction by purchasing goods that are likely to last longer, such as a vehicle or home. Other times, the focus of materialism is to attract consumers to buying products that provide short -term satisfaction, but must be re -purchased from time to time as soon as newer versions are released. Home computers, manual devices and home entertainment equipment are examples of short -term goods that are likely to be replaced by new and allegedly desirable products within one year.
