What does the stock planner do?

Any warehouse, factory or even retail stores that usually use stock planner in inventory. The primary responsibility of this work is to predict, monitor and align a list of products or materials that a warehouse, manufacturer or seller keeps in its events. For example,

assume that the planner works for a manufacturing company. Suppose the manufacturer produces leather sandals. The stock planner must first predict the number of leather sandals that expect to be sold daily, weekly, monthly and annual base. Once the stock planner determines, then it must predict how many materials the manufacturer must produce to keep the sandals in the inventory. These materials include skin, rubber soles, suede insert, thread, ornaments, sewing machines and any other materials that the manufacturer needs at hand.

Inventory planner is also responsible for monitoring inventory. Once again, monitoring may include materials for the production of the product, the product itself, or both. Reconciliation is another duty of inventory planner. As the materials get used to and the products move in and out of the warehouse, production plant or retail store, the level of stocks changes. The stock planner regularly checks to ensure that the amount that the computer says is in stock corresponds to what is real in the inventory. When the stock level reaches a level where multiple materials or products are required, some stock planners order materials and products to return the stock level to the minimum amount they hold at hand.
