What is CSCS certification?
National Association of Force and Condition (NSCA) is a global organization that focuses on progress in the field of scientific understanding and application of physical training techniques. NSCA provides certification to current and future trainers who meet the requirements for education and pass comprehensive examinations. Most employers of trainers and physiotherapists and earnings certification can significantly improve the chances of finding employment in the field of certified strength and fitness specialists (CSC).
The person who wants to obtain CSCS certification must first meet the assumptions of the NSCA. In order to sit on the exam, the individual must usually own at least a bachelor's degree from an accredited university. Most future experts specialize in physical therapy, science of exercise or other health related areas, but the title in any subject is sufficient. In addition, testors are obliged to own current certification in Cardiofulmonary Resuscitation (CPR) and automated use of an external defibrillator (AED). CPR and AED certification are offered through short courses at many universities, vocational schools and community and hospital programs. The tests are offered throughout the year in designated test centers throughout the United States and in many other countries around the world. The tests are carefully monitored by proctors who are allowed by NSCA. Computer and written tests are available on most test sites.
TheCSCS certification test consists of two main sections: some of the scientific foundations for one and a half hours and part of the practical applications of two and a half hours. The first part consists of 80 questions that test the understanding of the person's exercise science. It includes questions about human anatomy, physiology, biology, biomechanics and nutrition. The second part consists of 110 questions dealing with clinical techniques used by therapists and trainers.
