What is binocular vision?

Creation with two eyes used together to look at one image is said to have binocular vision. Creation with binocular vision has many advantages over creatures with only one eye or creatures who are unable to use their more eyes together. At a very simple level, the second eye provides a safe level of redundancy; If one eye is lost, there is another, which allows creation to be seen. Using two eyes together also improves the ability of the creature to see objects that for any reason are difficult to see. In general, due to the distance between two eyes, creatures with binocular vision will have a wider field of view than creating without.

Another important aspect of binocular vision is stereopsis, allowing creation to perceive depth. Stereopsis occurs when two eyes perceive the object and its surroundings from two slightly different angles, which naturally occur due to slightly different eye positions. Because of different angles are the eyes able to perceive the depth anddistance. This is particularly important for predators that need to assess the distance between themselves and their prey. Is somewhat less important prey animals; Their eyes are very far apart, giving them a much larger field of view.

Have two different eyes that see two slightly different images can have some interesting effects. In some cases, often involving a certain type of damage or failure, one eye sees an image that differs completely from the other eye. In some cases, different images are seen by the eye. Sometimes creatures experience a double vision in which they see two often dragging images of the object.

There may be many different anomalies and binocular vision disorders that tend to disrupt vision in different ways. In some people, the differences in the muscles of each eightens that one or the other eye is carried and set up the right binocular vision from Vyrovní. Eye tests looking for binocular vision anomalies usually check to find that the individual's eyes are able to work together to follow the object, concentrate on the object and cooperate to see only one object at close or long distances. If the eyes cannot succeed in these tasks, they may be to repair the eyes and restore them to full operating condition.
