What is Dysplasia?
Breast dysplasia is mostly caused by congenital disorders, and a few are caused by acquired factors such as adolescent bundle chest, chest burn scar contracture, etc., mainly due to lack of glandular tissue, and the skin is still intact and elastic (except for burns). Occurred in unilateral patients often accompanied by pectoralis major dysplasia or absence. Bilaterals may be caused by insensitivity of breast tissues to sexual hormones during maturity. Nipple development can be normal.

Causes of breast dysplasia
- The breast is an ectodermal organ that originates from the skin and belongs to the superficial structure of the chest wall. Girls begin to develop breasts from 12 to 13 years of age, and mature to 15 to 17 years of age. Despite differences in species and ethnic groups, the mammary gland is roughly composed of 15-20 glandular leaves. Breast dysplasia is a congenital disorder, mainly due to the lack of glandular tissue, and the skin is still smooth and elastic.
- 1. Insufficient secretion of female sex hormones
- Insufficient secretion of female sex hormones directly affects the growth and development of the mammary ducts and the branching of the mammary glands, which can lead to dysplasia of small breast leaves and acinars, thereby affecting breast development.
- 2. Adolescent dysplasia
- Adolescent malnutrition caused by a variety of reasons, affects and hinders the normal development of the breast.
- 3. Secretory disorders during puberty
- Lack of sexual knowledge during puberty and the humiliation of adolescent girls can lead to psychological disorders and endocrine disorders, affecting the normal breast development.
- 4. Corset
- Bunching the chest due to psychological disorders or wearing an over-tight bra can easily cause breast dysplasia.
- 5. Lack of physical exercise
- Due to the lack of moderate physical exercise for a long time, the chest muscles are underdeveloped.
- 6. Genetic factors
Clinical manifestations of breast dysplasia
- The chest is flat and has no curve; palpable glandular tissue is not obvious; it occurs unilaterally, with left and right asymmetry; it may be accompanied by dysplasia or absence of the ipsilateral pectoralis major muscle.
- The following types are common in clinical practice:
- Small breasts
- The breasts are small and the chest is flat, but there is still a breast contour. Can touch breast tissue.
- 2. Breast is not growing
- Breasts are flat and uncontoured and cannot touch breast tissue.
- 3. Breast asymmetry
- While fully developed, it is smaller.
- 4. Nipple depression
- The nipples cannot protrude and are sunk in the areola.
- 5. Giant Nipples
- Oversized nipples are rare.
Breast dysplasia
- Breast palpation reveals that the glandular tissue is less pronounced. At the same time can check estrogen levels, endocrine and so on.
Breast Dysplasia Diagnosis
- Diagnosis can be made by combining medical history, clinical symptoms, and laboratory tests.
Breast Dysplasia Treatment
- 1. If there are both mammary dysplasia and abnormal menstruation, the main reason is poor gonad development, such as congenital ovarian dysplasia and congenital ovarian dysfunction. Because the ovaries cannot secrete estrogen, the breast tissue cannot fully develop and stay in the breast state in childhood, and there is no menstrual cramps. At this time, it is not only a local problem of the breast, but also related to endocrine (gonad) diseases. Early treatment is required Proper supplementation of estrogen.
- 2. If breast dysplasia is caused by chronic malnutrition and chronic wasting diseases, it is necessary to strengthen nutrition and treat chronic diseases.
- 3. If breast dysplasia is caused by excessive weight loss, pectoralis major muscular dysplasia, etc., you need to strengthen nutrition and increase weight. At the same time, you should pay attention to strengthening physical exercise, especially the chest muscles. When the chest muscles develop well, the breasts are naturally plump. Pay attention to the reasonable mix of nutrition, do not over diet and maintain a certain weight. The flat breasts can strengthen the exercise of the upper limbs, so that the chest muscles are fully developed and the chest is raised to compensate for the disadvantage of poor breast development.
- 4. If breast dysplasia is hereditary, it can be solved by breast augmentation. Prosthetic breast augmentation is a very mature medical cosmetic surgery that can solve women's chest troubles, but choose a regular medical institution.
