The International Smile Operation was founded in the United States in 1982. In May 1991, the International Smile Operation supported the support of a group of philanthropic patriots in Hong Kong, Mr. Feng Yongxiang, Sir Zhong Yijie, and Ms. Zhao Zengxue, among others. With the successful launch of the first operation of Operation Smile, Mr. Feng Yongxiang and Sir Zhong Yijie established the Operation Smile China Fund in Hong Kong in September 1991. The Operation Smile China Fund currently has a coordination agency in Hangzhou and Kunming to coordinate domestic charity activities. In each city, international volunteer medical staff from the United States, Hong Kong and other places will work with Chinese volunteer doctors and nurses from local partner hospitals to form a volunteer volunteer medical team. They will perform free surgery on hundreds of children with cleft lip and palate, making these children serious Smile.
