What is the unit of Mo?
Hand MO is a type of disk unit that uses Magneto Optical (MO) to provide high -capacity portable media for computer systems. The drive itself uses two separate processes for reading and writing on the MO, Laser and Magnetic head. Where the laser is used for reading and writing in the media, the magnetic head is only for writing. As a result, the special media used with the propulsion of MO is capable of extremely long life and very reliable, high -capacity data storage. Inside the floppy disk plate is made of thin layer of ferromagnetic material that is fixed inside the plastic coating. This material acts very much like a plate inside a hard drive unit in that there are traces with small sectors magnetized in a positive or negative state that represent either one or zero for digital data stored on the disk. Inside the MO drive, a small sliding door on the floppy disk is open and the plate is located between the laser drive on the bottom and the magnetic head floats above the head. When the plate rotates to read the floppy disk, the laser is set to low power and the beam bounces from the disk sectors depending on their magnetic state. This is a process known as Kerr's effect. When the laser beam hits a positive magnetic condition or "condition", the beam is reflected back in one direction, while when hitting a negative magnetic state, "zero", reflects back in the opposite direction. The drive then detects the content of the disk by monitoring the return of the laser.
If the MO drive wants to write to the disk, the laser strength must be tested and heat the pheromagnetic material of the plate. The laser warms the material on what is called the Curie point, the temperature at which it can be affected by magnetic fields. Once it isAs far as heated, it can write it with a magnetic head on the opposite side of the floppy, giving the heated sector a positive or negative condition. The diskette plate must perform two passages inside the unit for the writing process to complete the time to write data with the MO unit twice as long as it simply reads them. Of course, this process is infinitely repeated on the MoD and the floppy disk, so it is infinitely rewritten without having to reformat a floppy disk every time like a traditional diskette medium.
In many Western countries, the use of Mo Drive technology has decreased somewhat since 2000, although they still find use in specific areas.
