What Is a Sensor Node?

A sensor node is a miniature embedded device, which requires low price and low power consumption. These restrictions will inevitably lead to a weaker processor capacity and a smaller memory capacity. In order to complete various tasks, sensor nodes need to complete various tasks such as the collection and conversion of monitoring data, data management and processing, response to task requests from convergent nodes and node control. How to use limited computing and storage resources to complete many collaborative tasks has become one of the challenges in sensor network design. [1]
