What Is a Conveyor Chain?

The conveying chain is the same as the transmission chain. The precision conveying chain is also composed of a series of bearings. They are fixed by a chain plate with a restraining effect, and the position relationship between them is very accurate.

Each bearing includes a pin and a sleeve on which the rollers of the chain rotate. Both the pin and the sleeve are case-hardened, which allows them to be hinged together under high pressure, and can withstand the load pressure transmitted by the roller and the impact during meshing. Conveyor chains of various strengths have a series of different chain pitches: the minimum chain pitch depends on the sufficient strength requirements of the sprocket teeth, and the maximum chain pitch is usually determined by the rigidity of the chain plate and the universal chain. It is necessary to exceed the rated maximum chain pitch by strengthening the sleeve between the link plates, but the clearance between the sleeves must be kept in the gear teeth to clear the sleeve. ^[1]
