What Is a Slewing Bearing?

Slewing bearing is a new type of mechanical parts. It consists of inner and outer rings, rolling elements, etc. Slewing bearing is a large bearing capable of bearing comprehensive loads, and can simultaneously bear large axial and radial loads and overturning moments.

Slewing drive is usually composed of worm, slewing bearing, housing, motor and other components. Because the core component adopts slewing bearing, it can bear axial force, radial force and tipping moment at the same time. There are many forms, but the structural composition is basically the same.

Method for solving slewing bearing noise
There are two common solutions to the slewing bearing noise: dust and scars:
(1) Dust sound control method There is dust and other foreign matter in the slewing ring, and non-periodic vibration will occur. The so-called dust sound has variable vibration and noise, and it may or may not exist.
Control method of dust sound: Improve the cleaning method of slewing bearing / rotary bearing. Before installation, clean all bearings, shafts, seat holes and matching parts strictly; remove foreign matter in the lubricant; improve bearing seal; avoid using impure materials Or plastic cages embedded with foreign objects.
(2) Method for controlling the sound of scratches If the rolling surface of the slewing bearing is cracked, indented or rusted, periodic vibration and noise such as riveting rivets will occur. The period may be fixed but mostly corresponds to a certain speed. As a matter of fact, the flaws will continue to occur on the channel, and the flaws will appear from time to time on the steel ball, and this noise will change with the installation and lubrication conditions. Control methods for this kind of noise: Do not knock on the bearing during installation, prevent the bearing from being tilted when the bearing and shaft are assembled and then installed in the bearing seat; prevent bearing corrosion when in stock and prevent shock and vibration during transportation; use high viscosity grease . (3) Noise caused by lubricating factors and its countermeasures The wrong choice of lubricant, insufficient lubricant or aging hardening can cause vibration and noise in the slewing bearing / turntable bearing, and this noise has no regular pattern. In this case, only the appropriate lubricant can be selected, the amount of lubricant can be adjusted, the service life of the lubricant can be extended, and the replacement cycle must be reasonably determined.
(4) Noise related to the host and its countermeasures This noise is not caused solely by the bearing, so it is not effective to find the cause from the bearing alone. It should pay full attention to the host and improve the performance of the host if necessary. Mainly describes the common beep sound and frame resonance sound in the motor. A The buzzer of the motor and its countermeasures The axial vibration of the motor shaft will cause a large high-frequency noise-the buzzer, whose frequency is the same as the axial vibration frequency, which can be constant or changeable. The beep sound is prevented in the same way as the axial vibration. B bearing frame resonance sound and its countermeasures When the above-mentioned outer ring mass system is caused by the axial natural vibration of the bearing frame, a kind of noise called resonance sound will be generated accordingly. Increasing the pre-tensioning method can increase the axial natural frequency of the outer ring mass system, destroy the resonance conditions, and reduce noise.
There are different working methods according to the actual use and design structure. There are two basic working methods: 1. The inner ring fixes its support function and the outer ring rotates; 2. The outer ring fixes its support function and the inner ring rotates.
