What is an extension bar?

The extension bar is a long, generally solid piece of metal pipe that allows the user to expand the range of the plug -in key by up to 12 inches (30.48 cm) or more. They are usually used to help reach screws that are recessed or otherwise unattainable with the standard key. They are often used by mechanics and other relatives of professions that must release rigid or rusted screws and work in compact spaces such as engine compartments. This is invaluable in cases where, for example, a screw was installed in the bottom of the engine in May before the engine itself was installed. With a motor on a place that would be impossible to reach hands or with a unimported wall key. However, they are very different tools and are definitely not interchangeable. While the extension bar adds an effective length to the battle battle to help with the range, the switching bar extends the length of the key handle, increasing the maximum torque with rotation.

The circuit breaker bar plays the way the torque works, which is a rotary force calculated as a force of multiplied distance. This is important because with hand tools there is a physical limit, how much energy can be applied by a person determined by his own force. Once this limit is reached, the only way to increase the torque is to increase the distance. This is known as the mechanical advantage .

While the circuit breaker bar can be virtually any piece of long, hollow metal extrusion that fits through the handle of the key, the extension bar must be gently rotated tired. The most common diameter for connectors between these different parts is 3/8 inches (1 cm), although larger and smaller sizes are available.

One common use of the extension bar is with sockets of the ignition candle. Spark plugs that are an integral part of the ignition system in MotoRU with internal combustion, require periodic replacement and must be unscrewed from their location in the engine, unlike the change of the bulb. However, spark plugs are not always easy to reach or put the lever. In these cases, a special outlet of the spark plug with rubber padding for adhesion can be connected via the extension bar, to the wall key to easily release and pull the plugs.
