What are soft drinks?

soft drinks are usually carbonated, soft drinks. "Soft" in the name was developed, unlike "hard beverages" that contained a hard liqueur. They can pass through a series of aliases including soda pop, soda or pop. These types of drinks are normally sweet and can be served at room temperature or chilled. Common flavors include cola, root beer, lemon lime, orange, grape and ginger. They also include a number of uncovered drinks such as ice tea, ice coffee, lemonade and fruit punch. Flavored waters, including uncovered and carbonated varieties (such as sports drinks and Seltzers), are also types of soft drinks. Milk or other milk -based beverages, even if it may not contain alcohol, are usually not included in this category. In some regions, drinks that contain less than 0.5% alcohol are qualified as soft drinks.

Today's soft drinks can be sold in the size of the size of a dividual portion or a larger bottle. Individual sizes are usually to dIsposition in aluminum cans or plastic bottles, while larger sizes are usually packed in plastic containers. Machines for the production of soda or fountain machines are also common sources of drinks, commercially and at home.

In general, it is believed that the first non -alcoholic beverages were created by adding herbs and spices to natural spring water. Later iterations included crushed fruits and flowers and added some sweetness to the drink. The first publicly sold soft drinks were lemonade. Shortly after the invention of carbonated water in the 18th century, the first carbonated drink was made by adding various flavors, such as ginger, to the now carbonated water.

For many years after the invention of carbonated soft drinks, beverages were only available on the fountains of soda, which were a part of drugs and pharmacies. Workers called soda glasses filled with goggles with carbon water and then added flavors to suit fromto the cubs.
