What is the bark?

Beetle Bark is a general name involving many similar insect species that prey on coniferous trees such as pine, spruce and fir. Under normal conditions, the beetle of the bark helps to get rid of the forest of sick, weakened or fallen trees and create space for new and stronger growth. In unfavorable conditions, when trees become susceptible due to drought or other stressors, the bark of the beetle can erase the entire racks in otherwise healthy forests. The beetle of the bark gets its name from its habit of playing through the outer bark of the tree to the background Cambial . This tender, nutritious layer lies between the underside of the hard outer bark and inner wood. The cambial layer of the tree trunk produces nutrition and cell growth for the tree and is sometimes referred to as vascular layer. It is also a layer that produces tree rings. Here the bark beetle lays eggs that hatch into larvae, which feeds on a tree by gnawing more galleries. Damage represents mushrooms that can disrupt the ability withTrom to transport water. This, along with the hole or dig the trunk, leads to the death of the tree.

If the tree is healthy and the beetle contamination is mild, the conifer could successfully fight the bugs of the bark exposure . The shutdown occurs when the tree radiates the resin looking at the insect rental. The resin can cover and stew insects. Dark red tubes are often formed in these places.

The defense of the tree is lagging behind when the beetle bark is involved in what is called a "mass attack". In this case, the initial bark beetles emit pheromones to attract countless other bark beetles to the tree. The bark beetles attack in a massive number.

Beetles who have not caught on the pitch are waiting for the resin to solidify to walk again, causing more playgrounds until the bark beetles exhaust the defensive system of the tree. Then they can overcome the tree and eventually kill it. On the mass attacks with pIt grows on the bark of different species, with each species occupying a different level of tree. With many mass attacks in a given area, bark beetles can smooth important forest areas.

A tree suffering from the bark of the beetle is evident in a distance, because the highest foliage loses fresh green color and disappears from browning. Although it is natural to see a certain number of dying trees scared from a large healthy forest, a high number of pine trees with a brown tip usually indicates increased beetle bark. Heavily contaminated trees cannot be used for lumber because the wood will destroy the bark of the beetle.

Bruk Beetles has triggered many debates between environmentalists, forest management services and even politicians. Some believe that the beetle of the bark should be left alone to perform its natural function, even if it means the loss of large forest areas. Others argue that heavy contamination should be stopped by intervention. Bark beetles are found in forests around the world.
