What is antioxidant alkaline water?
Antioxidant alkaline water is a drinking water that has been treated, either by adding chemicals such as potassium hydroxide and bicarbonate or electrolysis, so that the ph level is raised. Antioxidant alkaline water is just one of the terms used for bottled waters that are popular in the shop and additional industry. Other names for antioxidant alkaline water include electrolyzed reduced water, ionized water and alkaline water. Substances with neutral pH are worth 7.0. Acids are substances with pH 6.9 and lower; Alkaline substances, chemical opposites of acids are 7.1 and higher. This causes alkaline water to be any water with a pH greater than 7.0. Electrolysis involves the passage of electricity drinking water in an effort to produce ions or small charged molecules that are free and ready to engage in chemical reactions. Clean water will not perform electricity, so it cannot be electrolyzed or ionized until they are dissolved.
The health benefits of drinking antioxidant alkaline waters have not been scientifically proven or widely accepted by the medical community. However, there is a possibility that carbon in bicarbonate chemicals that are added to the water are absorbed into the bones, making it stronger and less resistant to arthritis. The lack of scientific evidence aside, unofficial evidence for health claims of antioxidant alkaline water is abundant. Internet search will bring many resources that promote the positive effects of drinking antioxidant water. However, the test must be skeptical by these claims because they usually come from suppliers of antioxidant water machines and accessories, or their customers.
The most common antioxidants are vitamins C and A. Antioxidant alkaline water could essentially be made at home by adding a pinch of edible soda to water water and by multivitamin. The term antioxidant is best understood by simply exploring parts of the word. “Anti"Is a prefix that means" against "and oxidation is a process involving oxygen of the element.
While oxygen molecules are necessary for breathing and other vital functions, oxidation does not necessarily have to be a positive thing. Oxidation is a chemical reaction in which oxygen reacts with substances and changes it chemically. For example, when fresh apple is cut and exposed to oxygen in the air, brown and objects made of metal rust or scratch, all due to oxidation. Oxidation also occurs in the human body and causes a large part of the deterioration associated with aging. Antioxidants can slow down the oxidation process, so most medical and healthcare workers consider them healthy.
