What is Benzoin?
Benzoin is a resin or balsam obtained from the bark of more than 125 types of deciduous trees belonging to the family Styracaceae . This highly aromatic substance is usually called benzoin benzoin, which is commonly known as benzoin resin or Styrax resin. However, this term is technically incorrect because the rubber is defined as containing a chemical structure consisting of sources of polysaccharides. To add confusion, benzoin is also the name of the organic crystalline compound synthesized from the benzaldehyde, which has a completely different composition. On the other hand, the resin brings a crystalline compound called benzoic acid.
For harvesting this resin, triangular slices are produced into the bark of trees that have been cultivated and left ripe for at least six years. This causes the resin to flow in to connect towards and out of these cuts and harden very quickly after contact with the air. Quick Drying Factor, combined with TRGRAVITATION Power of flow, parto leads to a button of hard resin in the shape of tears that hangs from the tree. Depending on the type of tree, the collected resin is scattered from light yellow to dark amber. After use, most of the trees will continue to bring resin flow for the next three years.
