What is Pandanus?

The Pandanus genus includes more than 600 known dual palm species such as trees and shrubs. They are known as screws that produce edible green, yellow or red cone -shaped fruit and have large roots and long pleated leaves. Pandanus plants are originally from Pacific Ostrov, North Australia and Southeast Asia region, such as the Philippines, Indonesia and Papua -Nova Guinea and grow mainly in coastal forest areas.
