What is Cardie?

Cardia is part of the digestive system of the body. It is often called the heart section or heart of the stomach, it is an opening that provides a way for food to go into the stomach. It is located near the top of the stomach and connects the esophagus with the stomach. Jedophagus is a tube made of muscle that allows you to digest food from your mouth to the stomach. This opening of a muscle of a similar valve allows the food to pass through the esophagus and down into the stomach. The contraction of these muscles closes the upper part of the stomach and prevents the stomach content from traveling back. Problems may arise when this valve does not work properly. In the esophagus, stomach acid can irritate the lining, leading to pain and burning in the Chest area, excessive saliva production and nausea. This condition is called gastroesophageal reflux syndrome, commonly referred to as heartburn or acid reflux. In chronic cases of heartburn, the lining is damaged. In extreme cases, the upper part of the stomach can stand into the abdomen due to excessive liquid collection, whichIt causes what is called hiatus hernia.

Another problem that may arise from the wrong functioning of cardia and gastroesophageal sphincter is called Achalasia or cardiospasms. This happens when the muscles cannot be fully relaxed. Achalalasia symptoms include swallowing problems, chest pain, cough, regurgitation and aspirations. Aspiration is when food or fluids enter the lungs instead of the stomach.

The risk of esophageal cancer may increase in chronic GERD, which in turn can cause Barrett's esophagus. This is chronic irritation and change in the esophagus lining. Esophageal cancer problems may occur if the tumor blocks the entrance to the stomach. In extreme cases, when the removal of the tumor is unsuccessful, surgery is performed by cardiactomy. This is where the cardie is removed.

If the cardia is removed, artificial can be used. This is a way to keep the opening between the esophagus and the stomach and helpHat in the functioning of a gastroezyophageal sphincter. This can also be used to help prevent or fight Gerd, esophageal and Achalasia cancer.
