What Is a Computer Skills Assessment?
Computer system performance evaluation is to use measurement, simulation, analysis and other methods and tools to study the system performance of computer systems such as productivity, utilization and response characteristics.
- The following introduces several indicators of computer evaluation.
- There are three commonly used methods: measurement method, simulation method and model method.
- 1. Measurement method: Test the computer system directly through test equipment or test software and get the corresponding performance indicators. The condition for evaluation using this method is that a specific computer system is required. The advantages of this method are real and reliable; the disadvantage is that the evaluation results may have a lot to do with the specific use of the computer system being measured [2] .
- 2. Simulation (simulation) method: By establishing a simulation model, the entire behavior of the target system is simulated on an existing computer system. This method has been widely used in computer system design, especially CPU design [2] .
- 3. Model method: first establish a mathematical model for the computer system being evaluated, and then obtain the performance index of the model. The advantage of this method is low cost, but the condition for adopting this method is that the mathematical model in the model method has been verified by measurement on a similar specific computer system before, and it is proved to be feasible and similar.
