What is the American Land title Association?

The American Association of Land Titles (Alta) is an organization that represents various title insurance and abstract by the country's title. Almost every title insurance company and title company in the United States are a member of the American Land Title Association. This organization seeks to represent these companies and provide standards for industry as a whole. There are also a number of associated members of this organization, including lawyers, builders and developers. In 2010 there were more than 3,000 members in this organization and membership is growing every year. For example, the title company will examine the title into the property when a property transaction occurs. The title society will make sure there are no lien or claim and this title can be transferred freely. The insurance company then backs up the title and will be responsible if something goes wrong during the property. In addition, the organization has proposed several principles of fair behavior to follow their members. These include connectionsonly into legal trade practices and maintaining high ethical standards; provide customers with timely and comprehensive information about services and products; and treat customers fairly and ethically.

In addition to having members in the title industry, American Land Title Association also has a large number of associated members. These individuals do not necessarily have to be in the title industry, but they are in related industries and work in conjunction with the title companies. For example, the most common collaborators are lawyers, developers of real estate, designer companies and real estate creditors. Other associated members include inspectors, educational institutions, real estate, brokers, consultants and computer services. As a member of the US Land Association, Associations can work with the title, title insurance companies and otherIdruted members to connect and promote fair business practices for the real estate industry as a whole.
