What is motor hysteria?
The
hysteria engine is a form of mass hysteria, which includes physical symptoms that spread rapidly in the community without apparent etiology, a medical term for the "cause". Some remarkable incidents in history were accompanied by seizures of mass hysteria, from the outbreak of mysterious diseases in monasteries to the tests of Salem Witch, which some scientists considered as driven by mass hysteria. Motor hysteria can withstand weeks or months until there is a stress that brings hysteria, neutralized, allowing people to return to normal. The study of motor hysteria seems to indicate that it is caused by extreme stress and emotional suppression. The longer the group of individuals in a stressful situation together, the more likely the engine hysteria is to develop, unless steps are taken to create a stress socket. It is sufficient that one person succumbs to stress and developing early symptoms and the motor hysteria begin to spread.
Loss of motor and sensory function is common in motor hysteria, while people experience twitching, convulsions and lack of muscle control. Many people are also starting to develop extremely unbalanced behavior, and many demonstrate Histrionics, emotional explosions that require attention. Historically, motor hysteria was often attributed to the holding of demons or other evil forces, and patients could find themselves subject to the Inquisition. In other cases, patients became leaders of the Inquisition, as in Salem Witch Trials, where young girls used their symptoms as the basis of authority to accuse members of the witchcraft community.
Small, isolated communities, schools, monasteries and stressful office environments are the most common candidates for the outbreak of motor hysteria. People often gather around a single triggering event that can cover the motor hysteria until scientists get to the bottom of the situation. For example, children may seem ill after a meal of a particular meal, leading people to the belief that food poisoning is the cause until a formula that appearsIt would propose motor hysteria rather than normal diseases.
Mass hysteria has long been the subject of fascination for scientists and illustrates the overall loss of emotional, physical and mental control in a large group of people. Sometimes the outbreak of motor hysteria can be relatively benign; For example, the community may suffer from a laughter epidemic. In other cases, it may become a more serious problem, and historically motor hysteria has sometimes led to tragic consequences, as community members have turned each other in their hysteria and confusion.
