What is Swimmer's Ear?
Swimming ear disease is swimming ear disease. Swimming ear disease is inflammation of the external ear canal caused by excessive moisture in the ear caused by swimming or shower. Moisture can cause ear eczema. Skin damage caused by continuous itching caused by repeated scratching of eczema can cause bacteria or fungi to invade the ear canal tissue and cause infection. However, swimming in bacterial contaminated water is a common cause of swimming ear disease. Bacteria find their habitat in the humid environment of the inflamed ear canal, reproduce, and invade.
