What are Internet fraud?

Internet frauds are stories that are spreading throughout the Internet, often via e -mail, forums and blogs, stories reporting or displaying images that are false or changes in truth. These types of fraud can only be widespread stories to play on their own willing people to believe in outrage when they are presented realistically or can be more harmful efforts about server crash and virus dissemination. Internet scams existed almost as long as the Internet itself, and many of them became part of a modern urban legend. This is often done for various reasons, from people who enjoy deceiving others, to fraud, which serves as a cover for more dangerous purposes. Most Internet frauds arise and achieve a certain level of popularity or distribution, but then disappear quite quickly or disappears in the light of reality. However, more impressive frauds can last much longer and can persist for years while they are still transmitted over the Internet.

Some of the most common types of Internet fraud include those that claim to warn that some type of virus is passed on the Internet. These statements usually focus on something safe, such as indicating that certain security programs or websites spread viruses or theft of passwords, or mistake people about a real security threat. This second type of fraud can be quite harmful because it can warn against something false, while spreading the virus by warning mail or promoting people to act, which is potentially harmful under the guise of their computers protection.

Other Internet frauds may have less in common with attempts to install malicious software on the computer and more to do by simply spreading misinformation. These fraud include outrageous statements as a website selling human meat, New York sellers selling kittens in glass bottles and tourist captured on photoFii on the lookout package of the World Trade Center just before the attacks of 11th September 2001. Every year there are also many frauds that describe in detail the false deaths of different celebrities.

6 The argument "The truth is alien than fiction" often convinces people to believe nonsensical and accept a fantastic vision of reality, which could otherwise be immediately rejected. Fortunately, a number of websites that exist only to reveal these types of fraud have developed and help people distinguish reality from fraud.
