What is the accelerator board?
The accelerator advice is a computer peripheral that can increase the performance of processing beyond what the central processing unit (CPU) would otherwise prove. These expansion boards historically carried faster processors and units with a movable point value (FPU) that could increase the overall speed of the computer or help with mathematical intensive tasks. In some cases, the accelerator board would carry a newer or faster version of the main processor. Most accelerator boards today use graphic design of units (GPU) to speed up visual displays and render three -dimensional images. Other computers required an accelerator board with FPU mounted. These boards were usually connected to the motherboard in the same way as any other expansion card.
Another timely use of the accelerator board was to add another or improved CPU. The pre -ranking processors of ZIF, CPU were difficult or impossible for end users.
