What is an electromechanical controller?
Electromechanical controller is a device that converts electricity to mechanical power to do some type of work, most often physically moved an object or device. They can have a very wide range of shapes, sizes and patterns, but all work on the same basic principle of conversion of electricity on the theme. The generated motivational force can be used to move large doors, to operate switches for sorting transport systems or to move the driven valves. In some cases, the electromechanical controller may be designed to hold an object or prevent a certain type of movement. The number of devices to which this term applies is extremely large. However, several main types cover a very large percentage of these devices and are classified in two ways, a type of mechanism that converts electricity to movement and towards the achieved movement.
One of the most common devices of this type is a linear driver. The linear drive moves in a straight line. Linear electromechanical controllerIt is used to move objects such as blinds on windows, sliding doors, tool position or other machine, or to move the regulatory surfaces of the flight on the aircraft. This is just a few examples and many others are common in all stages of industry and everyday life. The rotary drive moves something with a spin or rotating movement such as a rotating fan.
Linear drivers can convert electricity into one of the two main ways, through an electric motor and through piezoelectrics. Electric motors use electric current to create a magnetic field, resulting in a rotary movement of a spindle or wheel. For linear drivers, this rotary movement is converted into linear movement by means of gears or a set called a bolt and a screw converter. It threates basically from two cylinders with corresponding spiral grooves that lie parallel to and in contact with each other. One is turned by an electric motor and as it spins, the other roller spins and moves itin a linear way.
Piezoelectric controls use a phenomenon called piezoelectrics in which certain materials create a weak electric charge when they are subject to physical pressure. Generated forces and fees are often very small and these types of drivers are also small. They are used in applications where high accuracy is required.
