What Is Barrel Plating?
The scientific classification of barrel plating should be based on the shape and axial direction of the barrel used in barrel plating. The shape of the drum refers to what kind of utensil is similar to the shape of the drum, and the axis of the drum refers to the relationship between the direction of the rotation axis and the horizontal plane when the drum rotates. According to the difference between these two aspects of the drum, the common barrel plating methods in electroplating production are divided into three categories: horizontal barrel plating, inclined barrel plating and vibration plating.
- Large batches of small parts are placed in rolling containers
- 1 Development of Barrel Plating
- Barrel plating is suitable for the plating of small parts that cannot or cannot be hung due to factors such as shape and size. It is used in the plating of early small parts.
- Barrel plating is performed inside the drum
- Barrel plating and small parts
- The three methods of barrel plating each have different characteristics, advantages and disadvantages, and applicable scope. In production, the accurate and reasonable barrel plating method should be selected according to the specific conditions of the shape, size, batch and quality requirements of the plated parts, so as to achieve The purpose of enterprises to save efficiency and improve product quality. For example, for conventional small parts, horizontal barrel plating should be preferred. For small parts that are not suitable or cannot be used with horizontal barrel plating or high quality requirements, vibration plating is generally considered. But vibration plating is not a "magic panacea". Sometimes for small parts that cannot be solved by vibration plating, some special plating methods can be used, such as basket plating, screen plating or cloth pocket plating.
