Nimesulide indication

Second-line medication for anti-inflammatory and analgesic. It is used for the treatment of chronic arthritis (such as osteoarthritis), pain after surgery and acute trauma, and symptoms of primary dysmenorrhea. Use only if at least one other NSAID treatment has failed.

Nimesulide adverse reactions

This product is well tolerated, and occasional adverse reactions include heartburn, nausea and stomach pain, sweating, flushing of the face, excessive excitement, rash, erythema, and insomnia. Rare headaches and dizziness. There have been reports of liver damage.

Nimesulide notes

Patients with renal insufficiency should adjust the dose; it is recommended to use the smallest effective dose and the shortest course of treatment to reduce the occurrence of adverse drug reactions.

Nimesul use contraindications

Patients with active peptic ulcer, moderate to severe liver dysfunction, severe renal dysfunction (creatinine clearance rate of less than 30ml / min), children under 12 years old and other patients, as well as patients with high sensitivity to the drug in the past and pregnant women are prohibited.
Use with caution in patients and lactating women who are allergic to aspirin or other non-steroidal anti-inflammatory drugs.

Nimesulide drug interactions

1. Decrease the bioavailability and plasma concentration of furosemide.
2. Nimesulide can replace salicylic acid, furosemide, and tolbutamide in combination with plasma proteins, increasing its free concentration and enhancing pharmacological effects.
