What Is Pyloroplasty?

When gastric emptying causes obstacles to gastric retention, surgery can be used to solve the problem of drainage. Pyloroplasty is to cut the pyloric ring muscle to eliminate the function of the pylorus and enlarge the pyloric exit. Including longitudinal slit pyloroplasty and horseshoe incision pyloroplasty. Longitudinal transverse suture pyloroplasty is suitable for duodenal ulcers where the scars and adhesions in the pylorus are not serious and do not need to separate the duodenum. If the scar has extensive adhesions and the duodenum needs to be separated, it can be used as a horseshoe-shaped pyloroplasty (Finney).
