What Is Ristocetin?
Riptomycin is a polypeptide antibiotic that acts on the bacterial cell wall and inhibits cell wall synthesis. Its site of action does not compete with other antibiotics for binding sites and has no cross-resistance to other antibiotics. The antibacterial spectrum of ritomycin is similar to vancomycin. Ritutin is a peptide antibiotic with an antibacterial spectrum similar to vancomycin. It has significant antibacterial activity against Gram-positive bacteria and strong activity against hemolytic streptococcus, pneumococcus, staphylococcus aureus, aerobacter, and tetanus.
