What is a butterfly?

In the family of Gymnuridae there are approximately 14 types of butterflies, including Japan, California and smooth beam. These rays have flat bodies enclosed by a wide disk of the breast fins that come from the head. Butterfly bodies can range from 12 inches (31 cm) to more than 13 feet (4 m) long. The butterfly tail is usually very short and thin. Sometimes they are located at Usti, but generally this type of beam roars warm ocean waters.

The Japanese ray of butterflies, or the Japonic Gymnora , is located in the shallow waters of the ocean from Japan to Cambodia. His body is sandy colored with light spots, allowing this beam to hide along the muddy bottom. The diet of the Japanese butterfly beam is not well documented, but the evidence suggests that it prefers small fish and other types of beams. This species can grow to a width of more than 4 feet (121.92 cm). In addition to shallow water, this beam is located near the coral reefs and in the intermediateswamps and salt lagoons. They feed on small crustaceans, molluscs and monsters. The triangular body of this kind is usually gray or brown and may have dark spots.

Although the shape of the body of the butterfly Ray Longtail is typical for the family as a whole, this species can be distinguished by a long tail of black and white rings. His snout also ends with pointed projection. This species lives on sandy days in Indo-West Pacific and near French Polynesia. Molluscs and crustaceans are preferred meals. Longtail can give birth up to seven young people at the same time, but it is known to be captured.

The smooth butterfly beam or diamond skates live from the east coast of the United States and the west coast of Senegal, Sierraleone and the Democratic Republic of Congo. This beam sometimes enters the mouth. His diamond -shaped body varies between dark gray, light green and brown, with protruding muzzle and short tail. Smooth rays of butterflies feed on crabs, krEVERTAMI and molluscs.

Several species of butterflies are at risk, although they are generally harmless to humans. These rays are susceptible to commercial fishing and can be caught in networks and tow nets. Fishing for butterfly rays is a popular and often unregulated tourist industry in different countries. They can also be filtered and consumed.
