height into which the chestnut tree can grow. It was reported that US chestnuts grow up to 197 feet (60 meters). Then the European chestnut is 98 feet (30 meters), the Chinese chestnut for 49 feet (15 meters) and the Japanese chestnut for 33 feet (10 meters).

American and European chestnuts tend to become very erect and show small spread when planted among other trees. However, Japanese and Chinese chestnuts usually spread when growing. The bark of American and European chestnut trees is smooth when they are young. The American bark is a reddish -brown color that deteriorates with age, while the European Bark remains gray throughout life.

leaves of all trees are oval or spear -shaped, with broadly distributedteeth that have waves between them. After the leaves are created, sweet scented flowers are produced between late spring and early summer. Two or three flowers then grow together to create what eventually become a brown peel of nuts. The chestnut tree, which is planted from seeds, will take 30 to 40 years for these nuts to produce.

chestnut trees are generally cold and grow well even during frosts. The only exception is young buds that appear in spring, which can be easily damaged by frost. Trees tend to grow best when they are planted in full sun. The ideal amount of precipitation for them is usually 31 inches (78.7 centimeters) per year, although established trees can become a tolerant drought.

The chestnut tree has many pests speaking rabbits, deer, gray squirrels, several types of moths and Weevil. Primary diseases affecting American and European trees, although they are usually not Asian varieties, is a houIndeed from chestnut. This disease was responsible for the destruction of almost four billion American trees in the early 20th century. Other diseases that can affect trees include sudden oak death, root rot and oak mold.

nuts that produce trees can be eaten in many ways. They can be consumed raw or baked, candied, steamed, grilled or cooked. Nuts can also be used to make flour, beer, sugar and serve as a coffee replacement. Chestnuts have a much lower number of calories compared to other nuts. The cup (143 grams) of nuts provides 350 calories. They have low saturated fat content and are the only nuts that contain vitamin C.

The wood of the chestnut tree is often used in the production of small furniture. It is often used for tables, tables and small chestnuts covered with veneer-dokoncenebo coffins. After 50 years, wood becomes much less durable, so it is usually not used in the construction of houses or buildings.
