What is the middle slat?

cell walls of plants consist of three specific types of layers, including the primary wall, secondary walls and medium slats. The first layer created during cell division, the middle slat, is the outer wall of the cell that holds two adjacent cells together. It is rich in pectin, it is a cementing layer of cells, sometimes called a layer of pectin. It also protects against insects and parasites and maintains cells hydrated. Some cell walls are relatively strong and provide structural support for the plant, while others are thinner to support the transfer and communication of cells. Cytokinesis, the primary reproductive procedure of the plant, is a process in which one cell is divided into two. During this process, a section called a cell plate is created to separate two new daughter cells. The middle slat consists of a cell plate as a continuous opaque layer made of pectic compounds and proteins. It is thin, gelatin and pliable.

The primary wall, flexible and thin, is formed on the middle slats, while the cell continues to grow. After the primary wall is formed, a secondary wall is formed. This is the most rigide of three layers of plant cells and is formed in the primary wall only after the cell is completely grown. In some plants it contains a secondary wall of lignin, which acts as a waterproofing agent. Although each plant cell has a medium lamella and a primary wall, not all plant cells will have secondary walls.

pectin is produced commercially as a powder used in cooking and baking as a gel agent. Pectin Similar has a role in plant cells. The primary function of the middle slats is to act as an interface to maintain adjacent cells together, so that is mainly pectins. The amount of pectin in plant cells will be very different from plant to plant.

Middle slat is part of the cell wall that touches the surrounding cells so maybe it might be beste to describe as an adhesive that holds the plant together. It is the most flexible and opaque of the three layers and the first created when the cells are divided.
