What is the luteal phase?

The luteal phase is the second phase of the menstrual cycle during which the body is preparing for pregnancy. If a woman does not affect, the luteal phase ends with the release of the uterine lining. If pregnancy occurs, hormones secreted by the developing fruit prevents the lining. Women who are trying to conceive are sometimes very interested in watching their luteal phases, along with the menstrual cycle in general. This structure produces progesterone, which is used to amplify the endometrium and its preparation for embryo implantation. If no embryo implants, Corpeus Luteum gradually dry, allowing the lining to thin and throw away in the menstrual period. During the luteal phase, the basic body temperature of the woman also increases and turns it into a literal incurbator.

There is a small window for pregnancy; The egg lasts less than the day after ovulation and the fertilized embryo must implant before the beginning of the Corpus luteum atrophy. DelayDuring fertilization and implantation, it may result in an abortion in which the embryo shed along with the uterus lining, because it did not apply early enough to stop the luteal phase. Women trying to avoid pregnancy should be aware that sperm can take up to seven days in the fallopian tubes while waiting to fertilize eggs.

The classic luteal phase lasts between 12 and 16 days, the most common is 14 days. For pregnancy, a luteal phase of at least 10 days is needed, and women who face fertility problems sometimes find that they cannot become pregnant because of the so -called "luteal phase" that can be treated by a doctor. Ovulatids with ions can be diagnosed using ovulation mapping to monitor ovulation and blood tests looking for levels of specific hormones that indicate the stage of the female cycle.

The length of the menstrual period is primarily determined at the time when ovulation occurs. Ovulation may occur early or late for various reasons, from stress to health problems. LThe uteal phase tends to be very regular if a woman is experiencing a medical problem, which makes it easier for women to determine when their period will arrive if they are able to determine the time of ovulation.
