What are the futuristic weapons?

Many futuristic weapons that have been discussed and invested for at least several decades have finally debut in the last few years. Over the next decade, it is possible to imagine that weapons that we now consider "futuristic" - rail, lasers, various beam weapons - could see extensive use. For one, most of these weapons require no or negligible ammunition, which makes them radically cheaper compared to missiles and bombs. Second, many travel at speed, which is much faster.
