What is Coalescer?

and coalescer is a device used to separate and consolidate different components of the mixture - usually liquid emulsion. This process known as Koalescence. Equipment of this type have many uses, but are primarily used on an industrial scale in the oil and refinement of the industry to separate and remove moisture from the fuel mixtures. The mechanical coalescer uses a number of filters or dividers known as partitions, to induce water molecules to move from the mixture and collect together. The electrostatic coalescer uses weak electric charges to attract water molecules to the surface where they are subject to collection. Many fuel supply systems for underground and aircraft include one or more Coalescera devices to remove any humidity that can be present in fuel due to condensation, contact with humid air or other factors. Most Coalescer devices are small, removable cassettes without their own moving parts, but larger coalescers can be used in industrial applications.
