What is Metal Foam?

Metal foam is a metal material composed of fine pores filled with a large volume (typically about 75% -95%). These pores can be connected closed fine bubbles called metal foams. It can also be an unconnected network structure (open fine bubbles) called a porous metal. Aluminum is now mostly used as a raw material for metal foam.
