What is Sea Foam?
The foamy sea (Latin: Mare Spumans) is a small moon sea on the east side of the moon, with a maximum size of about 150 kilometers. The coordinates of the central moon surface are 1.3 ° north latitude and 65.3 ° east longitude.

- The modern name of the month sea is
- The foamy sea is located in the east of Chenggong Bay in the rich sea. An isthmus 10 kilometers northwest separates it from the sea of waves. It is surrounded by a small moon sea composed of lava-filled craters. The 35-km-diameter satellite crater "Webb C" in Side Moon Bay; the Pomortsev crater with a diameter of 26 km bordering the east side of the Moon Sea; "Webb J", "McLaughlin H", and "Mike "Laurin T" is located south of the Moon Sea, while "McLaurin K" and "McLaurin O" are close to the east of Moon Sea. On the northwestern shore of the foamy sea lies a very young, and extremely bright, 5 km diameter burial crater. In addition, there are other craters near the Moon Sea: the Tomley crater, the Stuart crater, the Hargreaves crater, the Morley crater, and the McLaughlin Crater.
- The height of the foamy sea surface is 1.6-2.1 kilometers below the lunar reference, 0.8 kilometers and 0-0.6 kilometers (measured adjacent areas) lower than the waves and rich seas, respectively. According to the measured values of the semi-covered crater, it covers the moon The lava is hundreds of meters thick.
- The foamy sea is located on the south side of the Weihai Basin, close to its outer circle. The stratum around the Weihai Basin is Jurassic, but the lava covered by the Moon Sea belongs to the Late Rain Sea.
