- Chapter I General Provisions
- Article 1. Postgraduate education is an important part of the country's quality education for citizens, and it is also the main way of cultivating senior national talents. In the process of creating a world-class university, the improvement of the overall level of the school is closely related to graduate education. The group of graduate students with innovative spirit is the most dynamic living force in the teaching and research activities of the school.
- Article 2 In order to establish and improve the incentive mechanism in the graduate education work of Peking University, to straighten out the relationship of responsibilities, rights, and interests in graduate education, the school decided to set up teaching, research assistants (referred to as teaching assistants, research assistants) and management assistants (referred to Assistance management, the same below) positions (referred to as "three assists"), the position subsidy system is implemented.
- Chapter II Post Setting
- Article 3 The establishment of post-graduate teaching assistants, research assistants and management assistants shall be uniformly deployed by the Academic Dean in conjunction with the Graduate School, the Department of Personnel, the Department of Academic Affairs, the Department of Scientific Research, the Department of Social Sciences, and the Department of Student Affairs. All colleges (departments, institutes, and centers) are responsible for the postgraduate training, and special personnel are organized to jointly assist in the establishment, application, employment, and evaluation of teaching assistants, research assistants, and management assistants; all relevant functional departments should appoint special personnel Responsible for this work.
- Article 4 Posts for graduate students are divided into three categories: graduate teaching assistants, research assistants, and management assistants. Among them, research assistants are divided into two categories, namely, "graduate scholarship" positions and college (department, institute, center) research assistant positions. The teaching assistants are set up by the school according to the actual needs of teaching work; the research assistants of the colleges (departments, institutes, and centers) are set up by the graduate supervisors according to the scientific research and related work tasks undertaken by the graduate students; the positions of "graduate scholarships" are funded by the school and belong to honorary assistant research positions , To fund postgraduates with outstanding academic performance or outstanding achievements in scientific research; assistant management positions are set up by the employment department according to actual work needs.
- Article 5 Each college (department, institute, center) submits the revised plans for teaching assistants, research assistants, and management assistants according to the needs of teaching and scientific research in early June and early December. The post-hiring plan for "three aids" for graduate students requires clear job objectives, weekly working hours, workload, and requirements for the graduate students to be hired. All positions must have clear job tasks.
- Chapter III Post Allowance
- Article 6 The subsidy standard for each post-graduate teaching assistantship is 800 yuan / month, and work is not less than 12 hours per week. For the subsidy for research assistantship, please refer to the Administrative Measures for Graduate Research Assistantship at Peking University. The subsidy for the position of assistant management shall be determined by the employing department with reference to the allowance standard for assistant teaching and research positions.
- Article 7 Participation in teaching and scientific research is an important link in the training of graduate students. If the graduate student undertakes one semester of teaching assistantship while studying in the school, those who pass the examination will be credited with 2 credits and enjoy the teaching assistantship allowance. For teaching assistants who work for more than one semester, credits are not counted and they are eligible for teaching assistantships.
- Article 8 The subsidy for teaching assistantships and "graduate scholarships" shall be borne by the school. The subsidy for research assistantships established by the various colleges (departments, institutes, and centers) shall be borne by scientific research funds, and the subsidy for assistant management posts shall be borne by employers. The school encourages all colleges (departments, institutes, and centers) to raise funds to set up "three help" positions for graduate students.
- Chapter IV Job Application
- Article 9 The application and employment of "three aids" is generally completed within three weeks after the start of the new semester.
- Article 10 After the post of postgraduate teaching assistants or research assistants are announced, postgraduate students can only submit applications with the consent of their supervisors or related research groups, and the colleges (departments, institutes, and centers) can submit their applications to the postgraduate school for record after approval.
- Article 11 Postgraduate assistant management positions shall be applied directly by the postgraduates to the post establishments. The post establishments shall independently approve the employment and report to the graduate school for the record.
- Article 12 In principle, graduate students who are entrusted with training, targeted graduate students whose salary is paid by the original unit, and in-service graduate students of this school cannot, in principle, apply for "three aid" positions for graduate students who are subsidized by the school. Each graduate student cannot apply for two positions at the same time. In principle, graduate students who fail the examination or seriously violate the rules and regulations of the school should not apply for the post of "three aids" for graduate students.
- Chapter V Post Fund Management
- Article 13 After applying for and approving the post of three aids for graduate students, the school and each employing unit, mentor, or research group shall transfer the post subsidy funds to a special financial account as scheduled.
- Article 14 In principle, the "three aids" post allowances for graduate students shall be signed on a monthly basis in accordance with the employment plan agreement.
- Chapter VI Post Assessment
- Article 15 Postgraduate teaching assistants and research assistants shall be assessed by their supervisors (or lecturers). Postgraduate assistant management positions will be assessed by the post establishment department.
- Article 16 The situation of graduates' employment of "three aids" during their studies is an important part of graduate graduation assessment. For graduate students who are not seriously responsible for performing their job duties, the post supervisor or course lecturer, and the head of the employment department can propose proposals to terminate the "three-assistant" post of the graduate student at any time, which is reviewed and approved by the leaders of the affiliated college (department, institute, center) After that, it is regarded as unqualified. In principle, graduate students who fail the post assessment are no longer qualified to apply for employment.
- Chapter VII Supplementary Provisions
- Article 17 These measures have been reviewed and revised by the 466th Principal's Office on October 22, 2002, and have been implemented since February 2003.
