What is Hydrosalpinx?
Hydrosalpinx is a watercourse with accumulation of pure fluid caused by blockage. The tales are structures in the female reproductive system that lead from the ovaries to the uterus, and is used to carry ripe eggs to the uterus. Sperm fertilization also takes place in the fallopian tubes. Hydrosalpinx usually deteriorates and causes infertility, including health problems.
Hydrosalpinx is usually caused by an inflammatory pelvic disease (PID) in which women are ignited by the reproductive organs, often due to sexually transmitted infections. The most common causes are gonorrhea and chlamydia. Hydrosalpinx can also be caused by surgical grimy, endometriosis, cancer or fallopian tube or ovaries, or rarely tuber tuberculosis. The pipes are blocked due to inflammation or matter and the liquid that usually passes begins to build.
Hydrosalpinx symptoms include abdominal or pelvic pain and infantile. Often there is no pain and the condition is not recorded,If the affected woman does not attempt pregnancy. The diagnosis can be made by ultrasound, an X -ray technique called Hysterosalping (HSG), in which a contrasting dye is used to display the fallopian tube or laparoscopy in which the camera is used to check the fallopian tube by small cut in the abdomen.
Hydrosalpinx is treated with antibiotics for solving any infection and sometimes laparoscopic surgery. More invasive surgical procedures to re -open the tubes are no longer common, as the possibility of pregnancy remains low and there is a risk of ectopic pregnancy, a dangerous condition in which fertilized eggs are implanted into the fallopian tube instead of the uterus wall. Ectopic pregnancy is a life -threatening medical emergency that negatively affects the ability of a woman to conceive in futura. In most cases, the child cannot be saved in the case of ectopic pregnancy.
women withHydrosalpinx is often able to conceive via in-vitro fertilization (IVF). Hydrosalpinx can also be surgically removed, especially if it causes pain. Removal can also support IVF conception.
Similar but more serious conditions are hematosalingpinx, in which the Vozcov tube is filled with blood and pyosalpinx, in which it is full of pus. Hematosalpinx is associated with ectopic pregnancy, while pyosalpinx testifies to advanced PID. Both conditions are a potentially threatening life and should be solved immediately. Another similar condition is tubal phimosis, in which the Vozcov tube is partially blocked. Although tubal phimosis does not lead to the accumulation of fluids, it is associated with infertility and increased risk of ectopic pregnancy.
