What is the theory of relational frames?

The theory of relational frames (RFT) is a psychological theory explaining how people derive relationships between objects. Psychologist Dr. Steven Hayes is usually attributed to the developed theory of relational frames that seeks to expand the theory of behavioralism B.F. Skinner. Most psychologists agree that B.F. Skinner's work in behavioralism laid scientific foundations for understanding learning and behavior in organisms for human and inhumane. However, people have a cognitive teaching tool that is assumed that no other organisms have a language. Hayes' theory of relational frames seeks to explain the role of symbolic relationships in human communication and knowledge, and how people can derive the existence of certain relationships, although these specific relationships have not been explained. According to the theory of relational frames, words are usually chosen arbitrarily. When the Stand population in accordance with the meaning of specific words, these words gain their meanings. The meanings of words and sounds are not considered by their own but are largely dependent on how the listener youcalls the relationship of this word to an object.

Inhumane organisms are often able to identify the relationships between the words and objects they refer to. For example, the dog can learn that the word "biscuit" refers to a dog biscuit, if the word "biscuit" is pronounced before the appearance of the dog biscuit. When the dog hears the word biscuits, he generally thinks of a biscuit and can remember the previous experience in which the biscuits were rewarded. If biscuits are normally listed when the word "biscuits" is pronounced, the dog can quickly come to expect a biscuit every time he hears a word. Hearing the word "biscuit" becomes an important event in the life of the dog because he learned that Biscuits usually appear when he hears this sound.

If the word "biscuits" was pronounced only after the dog had already ate treatment, the dog most likely cannot get an understanding of the meaning of the word. Because the word is expressed after the biscuit is accepted, ZVUK loses its meaning to the dog.

On the other hand, people are considered to be the only organisms capable of deduction of relationships using imagination. Most people are capable of two -way derivation, which means that due to some limited information they are able to derive relationships that have not been emphasized specifically. For example, after meeting a friend's brother, it can automatically conclude that both a friend and brother share the same parents. Experience has learned that relationships between family members are generally always introduced in the same way. According to the theory of relational frames, people not only learn from experience, but can apply these lessons to the unlimited nisto situations.
