What is the Wan network?

The wide area (WAN) is a communication network composed of computers that are local, exchange data in a wide area or long distances. The most common example is the Internet, although WAN may not be global to qualify as a wide network. Since computer shortcuts have become virtual words, the "WAN" terminology is often used in the public sector, even if it is redundant. For those new shortcuts, adding the word "network" reminds of what is Wan, so while this article uses a common term, the right term is WAN, it is pronounced as "W. Every computer on WAN is assigned a unique address known as Internet log address (IP). Back to the IP address of the required computer.

architectureThe Internet, the most famous Wan, is not ventured according to the design, which almost impossible to destroy. Like the highway system in a large metropolis, if one highway or information highway is removed, the data traffic is automatically re -deployed around the collapse through alternative routes. In the case of the Internet, the highways are actually rented telephone lines and a combination of other technologies and structures, including smaller networks that are connected by the WAN network to become part of the whole.

Some examples of smaller networks in WAN include networks of municipal areas (MANS), networks of the campus (cans) and networks of local areas (LAN). MANS provides connectivity throughout the urban or regional area for public access to the Internet, while cans offer connectivity to students and faculties for re-yozdroje and online access. Lans can be either private or public, but they are usually private networks with optional online access. The home or office network is a good example of LAN.

LAN can also become WAN if, for example, a company based in Los Angeles and Chicago connects its two ropes together over the Internet. This geographical distance would qualify a network like WAN. Connected LANs can use encryption software to maintain their communication private in front of the public Internet and create a virtual private network (VPN). This technology for creating a secure encrypted channel via the Internet for LAN connection is sometimes called tunneling.

The personal area (PAN) network is created by Bluetooth technology to wirelessly connect personal devices for interoperability. You can use Bluetooth to send print jobs from a notebook, for example to a printer or to synchronize a personal digital assistant with a computer. Bluetooth can also be used on Shazn's Internet access between devices, and therefore plays a role in many technologies that can contribute to the WAN network, better known as WAN.
