What is MMO?

The massive multiplayer online (MMO) is a game played over the Internet hundreds, not if thousands of people at the same time. It is different from traditional game or two players in the scale method and game games. By definition MMO supports many players - although only a few can be played at once, MMO systems usually play hundreds or thousands of people who play simultaneously. When this type of game was first created, it was only possible to play it on a computer using an internet connection, but that changed when the game systems advanced. Many MMOs have one or more consistent online worlds where people meet and play. Small MMO usually organizes hundreds of players, while larger can host thousands or even millions of people at the same time. Having many people playing at once can slow down the processing - loading the character of each player and the Character's clothing, events, conversations and movements require a lot of memory - most MMOs are divided into different servers. Each server will usually host a small segment of the entire player base.

The combination of these many people through a single game system would be impossible because the sources needed for this task would be unprecedented. Instead, MMO games rely on the Internet to connect players. Most MMOs will also only allow a person to play on a computer or game system, so households with more than one player who wants to connect to the game at the same time will need more than one system.

In the first days of MMO it was only possible to play computers, because it was the only devices that have internet access. As the game systems advanced, many have also gained Internet access. The computer is still the most common MMO playing system, although these games can now be played from many different platforms.

Most MMO games contain one or more consistent worlds where everyone can meet, chat and play. While most MMOs have players who start in STejny areas, some have different starting points. This is usually based on the type of character that a player creates, but can also be randomly selected by a game.
