What Is Simulation Technology?

Simulation technology is also called "simulation decision technology". In order to study and solve a practical decision-making problem, a homomorphic model of the problem is first established, and a dynamic operation test is performed on the model, and evaluation and optimal decision-making techniques are performed according to the operation results. Its advantages are: (1) It can solve many practical problems that require destructive tests or hazardous tests to make decisions (such as the issue of nuclear energy leakage from nuclear power plants). (2) The year, month, and day can be reduced to minutes and seconds to avoid long test periods (such as hundreds of thousands of kilometers of vehicle life measurement). (3) It can be used to test the completeness of theoretical analysis conclusions and the validity of various assumptions made in the study of practical problems. (4) Provide a "lab" for decision makers, which can be repeated multiple experiments to study the impact of changes in a single variable or parameter on the overall system of a practical problem, which is impossible in practical problems. (5) Easy to understand and intuitive results. [1]

Simulation technology refers to an experimental method that uses similar principles to establish models of research objects (such as image models, description models, and mathematical models), and indirectly studies the regularity of prototypes through models. It is widely used in weapon system design, manufacturing, appraisal, diagnosis, training, military learning, combat management, etc., and it is extended to all areas of the national economy.
Like all technical disciplines, the development of materials forming disciplines gradually changes from "qualitative" to "quantitative" and from "experience" to "science", and is applied in this transformation process.
We are in a digital era, whether it is personal consumer goods or industrial equipment, the degree of digitalization is getting higher and higher. The high degree of digitization cannot hide an iron fact. Analog technology is more and more widely used, and the requirements for analog technology are getting higher and higher. As prices continue to drop, digital electronics are gradually replacing previous analog products. The advantages of new products are compactness, and for information, convenient reception and transmission, analog technology is the key to achieving these functions. According to estimates by a person concerned, if a product uses a $ 1 digital integrated circuit, it needs about $ 1.4 of analog products to support it. From power management, signal processing, human-machine interface to fast-growing media playback, analog products are everywhere.
Dr. Chen Jie of the Microelectronics Center of the Chinese Academy of Sciences believes that digital technology has developed rapidly with the continuous improvement of technological levels, providing a solid foundation for signal processing and storage. But analog technology directly connects the objective world and human-machine interface. Without good analog products such as sensors, signal converters, and amplifiers, everything is impossible to talk about. Due to technical problems such as testing, the development of analog products requires more advanced skills. Only by choosing good simulation technology can product design have the minimum guarantee. Martin Kidgell, vice president and managing director of National Semiconductor's Asia Pacific region, once said that in a world of increasing digitalization, consumers need longer battery life, clearer screen displays, more beautiful sounds and more harmony. Man-machine interface. And it all depends on superb simulation technology. Mr. Su Xiaolun, president of the Asia-Pacific region of STMicroelectronics also believes that analog technology has not been weakened by the increasing number of digital products. On the contrary, analog technology still plays an important role. In fact, in many cases, simulation is the most cost-effective means, even the only solution. Mr. Lewis Counts, Vice President of Analog Products Division of American Analog Devices Corporation (ADI), with more than 30 years of experience in analog technology, believes that digital technology is an important part of the world now, but analog technology is growing faster, because only high-performance analog products, Digital technology is only available. The problem of analog products is more difficult to solve and more attractive, so it has more potential for future development. [3]
