What are the different types of powder coating system?

The three main types of powder coating system are an electrostatic coating with a spray gun, an electrostatic fluid coating and an electromagnetic brush coating. The powder coating is a surface treatment technique similar to painting, but with a coating material applied in a powder form rather than suspended in the liquid as in color. In the powder system, this powder is electrically charged so that the powder follows the item to which it is applied until it is cured. The powder coating process includes three basic phases: the preliminary treatment of the part to be coated, the application of the coating material and the curing of the coated article. The preliminary treatment of the article to some extent depends on the material it is made. In general, this process involves cleaning the item with a solvent to remove oil or grease and etching it to remove any corrosion of the surface. The thin film Called and the conversion coating is chemically applied to the article. This conversion coating improves the surface for better adhesion of powder. The areas that must not be covered are masked before applying powder coatings.

The powder is then applied to the article either by spraying a spray gun, soaking in a fluid bed of powder, or applied by electromagnetic brushes. The electrostatic coating of the spray gun includes a spray gun that electrically charges the powder particles. The coated item is electrically grounded when the powder is sprayed at it. The difference in the potential between the item and powder particles allows the powder to electrically attach the item until it is cured.

In the coating metal, two main types of syringes with a powder coating system are used. The corona of the weapon charges powder particles by being bombing when the powder leaves the weapon. The electric field between the electrode near the front of the weapon and the sprayed link helps to transport the charged powder from the weapon to its destination. When you wipe on a charged wallNY weapons, charged powder particles are charged inside the TRIBO weapon. Aerodynamic forces are primarily responsible for transporting powder from Tribo weapon to the article sprayed.

Alternatively, the article can be covered in the electrostatic fluid coating system of the powder. In such a system, the item is first heated and then lowered to bed powder through which the air is drawn. The powder particles hang in the air stream and take over the appearance and some of the properties of the fluid. The powder particles are then connected to the article that covers when they contact the hot item.

The electromagnetic brush coating is less common than two previous coating systems. In this system, the powder is applied to flat cells using an electrical and paintop. For large cells, this system often provides a more even coat with faster application than can be achieved using a spray gun.

Once the powder is applied, the coated article undergoes a curing process in a convection or infraredPeci. The resulting surface from this curing process depends on the type of powder used. Thermoset polymer powders are subject to chemical reactions called seasons, during heat treatment. Once such a chemical reaction occurs, the coating cannot be melted again. The thermoplastic powder melts during the treatment process, but is not subject to chemical changes, so that it can melt again after initial treatment.
