What Is a Solenoid Brake?
Electromagnetic brake is a connector that transmits the active side torque to the passive side. It can be freely combined, cut off or braked as required. It has a compact structure, simple operation, sensitive response, long life, reliable use, and easy to achieve long distance Control and other advantages.
- A mechanical part that stops or decelerates moving parts in a machine. Commonly known as brakes, brakes.
- Electromagnetic brake can be divided into electromagnetic powder brake, electromagnetic eddy current brake, electromagnetic friction brake and other forms. It is also subdivided into dry single-plate electromagnetic brakes, dry multi-plate electromagnetic brakes, wet multi-plate electromagnetic brakes and so on. Electromagnetic brakes can be divided into energized brakes and de-energized brakes according to the braking method.
- 1. Please use the electromagnetic brake when there is no moisture or oil content at all. If moisture or oil content is attached to the friction part, the friction torque will be greatly reduced, and the brake sensitivity will be worsened. In these cases, please add a cover.
- 2. When using in a dusty place, please put all the brakes in the box. Electromagnetic brakes below 60KGM can be used upright, even for higher models.
- 3. Please use JIS0401 H6 or JS6 for the length of the long shaft used to install the brake. Use one of the keys for mounting the shaft as specified in JIS B1301-1959.
- 4. Considering thermal expansion and other factors, please select the thrust of the mounting shaft below 0.2MM.
- 5. When installing, please adjust the suction gap to within plus or minus 20% of the specified value on the machine.
- 6. Keep the bracket light and do not use excessive pressure on the bearing of the brake.
- 7. For screws for assembly, please use spring metal sheet, adhesive, etc. to prevent loosening.
- 8. While the lead is maintained by the frame on the machine side, it is also necessary to make a reliable connection by using a terminal board and the like.
- In terms of performance, it mainly highlights: high-speed response, high durability, easy assembly and maintenance, no need for wear adjustment, reliable operation, and torque adjustment.
- Mainly used in
- Packing and packing machinery: such as packing machine, strapping machine, packing machine, etc .;
- Metal processing machinery: such as calender, wire drawing machine, punching machine, welding machine, copper wall iron wall line returning machine, cutting machine, pipe making machine, winding machine, etc .;
- Mechanical work: lathe, milling machine, automatic CNC bed, special machine, etc .;
- Handling machinery: crane, feeder, conveyor, winder,
- Metallurgy, construction, chemical, food,
- Electromagnetic brake is a very important part in elevator, stage, ship, metallurgy, lifting machinery and other machines. But in the existing machinery and equipment,
- In order to ensure uninterrupted operation of the electromagnetic brake, it must be maintained and maintained frequently:
- 1. Always add lubricant to the movable part of the electromagnetic brake.
- 2. Regularly check the length of the armature stroke. Because during the operation of the brake, the stroke length of the armature will increase due to the wear of the profile. When the armature stroke length does not reach the normal value, it must be adjusted to restore the minimum gap between the braking surface and the turntable. If the armature stroke length increases above normal, suction may be greatly reduced.
- 3. If the worn brake surface is replaced, the minimum clearance between the brake surface and the turntable should be readjusted appropriately.
- 4. Always check the tightness of the bolts, especially the bolts of the electromagnet, the bolts of the electromagnet and the shell, the bolts of the yoke, the bolts of the solenoid coil and the wiring bolts.
- 5. Regularly check the mechanical wear of the moving parts, and remove the dust, hair and dirt on the surface of the electromagnet parts. [2]
