What is Steckel Mill?

Mill Steckel is a type of metal processing tool that is used to convert steel ingots into metal leaves. Steckel Mill, which is also called a reversible finishing mill, uses a number of rollers to convert raw metal into a flattened, usable metal. They are called reversible finishing mills, because the rollers on the machine can be set to overturn back and forth through the raw material. The more model type of mill, Steckel Mill allows you to finish with smaller passages by the machine than in other types of mill.

In Steckel and similar mills, rollers are used to align metal material. The rolling process can be hot or cold depending on the temperature. It is considered to be rolling heat when the cylinder temperature is higher than the recrystallization point of the metal. When the cylinder temperature is lower than the recrystallization temperature of the metal, it is called cold. The biggest tonnage every year is produced by rolling heat. Hot or cold rolling mills can be used for EITH, although hot is more common.

There are several types of mills that can be used in rolling and finishing metal. Mill Steckel is a type of tandem rolling mill. This means that the mill is composed of a number of different connected rollers that the metal passes through. Instead of having to go through a set of cylinders several times, the same surface can be achieved by only one passage of the Steckel mill, although more passages across the mill may still be required.

Steckel mill construction contains two cakes instead of a normal one -time destination on most rolling mills. Laughter directs the flow of metal into and out of the machine. At the entrance to the machine the first cake pulls the material into the work area. The second goal is at the output and pulls out the processed material through the machine and out. If desired, coilers can be turned so that the output cake pulls out the material back through the cylinders and re -worked out the metal with the process of finishing.

The drums not only store the product until the rolling direction turns, but also help maintain the product consistent and uniform. In this way, the manufacturer can process a larger amount of material at the same time than on some other mills.
