What are the anchors of the seams?

Sesure Anchor is a small device used during surgery to connect soft tissues such as ligaments and tendons, to bones. The size and type of anchor needed to ensure soft tissue depends on the density of the bone of the individual patient and the surgery performed. The stitch anchors can be made of titanium metal, polyetherethonon thermoplastic or biodegradable absorbable material. They are commonly used as part of the rotator cuff repair operation. The screwing anchor looks very similar to the lower half of the normal household screw, with two small holes for the eye eye at the top, through which the material is connected for the stitch. Anchor of the accommodation type has the same two holes eye eyes at the top, but does not have the ridges around the body of the equipment. The Anchor screw screw is twisted with a tool called Suture anchor driver. A comparable appearance with a screwdriver is used to insert anchor into the pre -shaped hole in the bone. Anchor of the accommodation type is carefully pushed into pre -recoveryA hole using a tool for inserting a special handle. Drivers and insertion tools differ in size according to the size of the anchor used during surgery.

After the correct placement of the seams in the bone, the tangled or monofilament stitch is stretched at the end of the anchor. The soft tissue is then attached to the thigh thread and fastened to the anchor implanted into the bone. The surgeon clogs the free ends of the stitch near the anchor point for greater stability of soft tissue repair.

Complications from the use of suture anchors are more common near the active place of muscles and when used in soft bones. The most common problem that occurs is when the anchor seams are based on the bone, it is also called anchor pull -out, which usually occurs when the smallest size is used. A polymer -based plastic anchoring problem may occur if the anchor eye eyelets break. Titanium metal anchors sometimes servebroken stitches during excessive physical activity. Occasionally, repetition surgery may be required if the suture anchor moves or is not properly located.
