What is an endoscopic tube?

endoscopic tube can be inserted into the body through an opening or by a surgical opening. It has a light and a camera inside to observe internal structures and disease processes. There are two main types, rigid and flexible, with which diagnostic endoscopic procedures can be performed on any part of the body. Human doctors and veterinarians use endoscopes in their work.

There are many varieties of endoscopic tubes, each named for parts of the body to explore. Most people are familiar with a laparoscope, esophagus and colonoscope. These devices go into the abdomen, neck and colon. The camera in the endoscopic tube is connected to the monitor where the doctor can view images in real time. Cutting tools can be connected to an endoscope to remove tissue samples for biopsy or perform surgical excision.

The endoscopic tube was used in the nineteenth century. The first had external world resources that did not travel through the tube, and the observation was verydifficult. Berlin manufacturer Georg Wolf produced in 1911 gastroscope and Karl Storz of Tuttlingen later searched for improvements. It was only in the 1950s that the fiber optics allowed brighter light and better image quality. Since 2012, Karl Storz, founded in 1945, still produces endoscopic equipment.

rigid endoscopes are usually used in body areas where no need for flexible. The most common type is the range of rod lens, the endoscopic tube developed in the 60. It contains longer optical fiber bars that hold components and are not separated by air spaces that had previous lenses and their support systems. This left enough space inside the pipes for both poles and tools, and has improved the quality of the image.

Endoscope

Endoscopes are most commonly used in surgery that does not require an open cut such as the gallows removalíku and other abdominal procedures. Instead, the surgeon performs several smaller cuts to insert an endoscopic tube together with the operation tools. This is often referred to as "keyhole surgery" and usually has a much less scar and a shorter recovery time. The half -endoscopic rod tube is also widely used in arthroscopy, urology and gynecology.

Flexible esophagoscope is a tool of choice when doctors examine the upper GI tract from the pharynx to the stomach. This procedure may be subject to anyone who suspects a ulcer or hiatus hernia. The patient is soothed and the endoscopic tube is inserted in the mouth. People with gastrointestinal reflux disease (GERD) may have esophageal erosion that cause intense pain and are commonly diagnosed.

Flexible endoscopes can navigate the human gastrointestinal tract. The shaft of the device is made of fiber and steel coil with rubber outdoors that bend around the corners and tight PROstory. At the end it has a movable bending section and handle. In addition to human applications, veterinarians use flexible endoscopes for snakes for respiratory endoscopy and gastrointestinal procedures in many other species.
