What is the lamps?

Lamprey is a sea animal that usually occurs in coastal and fresh waters. Although they are often referred to as lamp eel, they are part of the fish family. The most remarkable feature of Lamprey is its large suction cup like a mouth full of sharp teeth. Most Lamprey is a parasitic nature and survives by attaching the mouth to fish and other sea animals. Once connected, they vacuum blood from the host bodies until they die. There are many different types of fish and may differ from 6 to 40 inches (15 to 100 centimeters). The only comparable animal with lamps is Hagfish, which also resembles eel and does not have a true structure of the jaw. Many scientists have suggested that lamps are "living fossils" or organisms that have stopped developing for millions of years.

This view was not easy to confirm, because the fossilized lamp is difficult because they are mostly made of cartilage that decomposes rapidly after death. Several fossilized specimens that have been found to support TUto theory and seems that parasitic sea animals have barely changed over the past 300 plus a million years.

In North America, sea lamprey is considered a dangerous pest. The completion of a man made by Wellland Canal in 1921 saw the species spread from Lake Ontario to other large lakes and quickly became an invasive species. The parasitic sea animal laid waste on fish crops across all lakes. The whole fishing was decimated with lamps that did not have natural predators in the lakes. The contamination of lamps was finally checked in the 1950s, when scientists developed a special chemical agent that killed lamps, while other fish were unharmed. Lampreys can still be found in large lakes Today, but in a much smaller number.

Unlike its negative reputation in America, lamps are commonly considered a delicacy in many other parts of the world, especially in Europe. Brewery for cake, steamed meatO and meat are all foods that can be made using fish as a primary ingredient. Efforts to restore the popularity of sea animal as food in America could not take off. This can have to do with a negative reputation as a parasite and with its given eel.
