What is Wild Marjoram?

Wild Marjoram, also known as Oregano or Origanum Vulgare, is a bushy, semi -inflammatory dwarf shrub originating in the Mediterranean region of Europe and Asia. It has upright or spreading stems spilled with small purple tubes in summer. The leaves are oval, fuzzy and about 1.5 inches (3.8 cm). The plant is not doing well in very damp soil and can be obtained by root rot if it is subjected to wet conditions. Wild Marjoram should be connected sparingly because it does better when it dries between irrigation sessions. It should be closed regularly to stimulate branching. Low, spreading varieties of wild marjoram can be used in the borders of herbal gardens to sink on the sides for effect.
